macOS 10.12 Sierra #
We fixed lots of Sierra-related issues in iStat Menus 5.3, so please ensure you’re running the latest version. Download the latest version of iStat Menus.
We are investigating an issue where macOS 10.12 Sierra asks if iStat Menus can have access to your contacts. Currently, we think it is just happening on macOS 10.12 Sierra, and when we attempt to access the calendar (to show calendar events in iStat Menus’ time dropdown). iStat Menus does not attempt to actually see your contacts, but we believe the alert is linked to asking to read the calendar, which we need to do to display calendar events.

Please note that menubar item reordering is now done from within iStat Menus, under the Combined/Order tab.
GPU shows 100% memory usage #
macOS 10.8 introduced changes for some AMD graphics cards that means memory usage isn’t reported correctly. At this point we believe it is a driver issue and one we can’t fix at our end, unfortunately.
Missing menubar items #
The sensors shown in the menubar are determined by the Menubar Sensors area under the Sensors tab. If this is blank, nothing will show. To add a sensor to the Menubar Sensors area, drag a token from the section below.
The same is true of disks — the disks shown in the menubar are determined by the Menubar Disks area under the Disks tab.
